On Saturday, December 15th, the second annual Phoenix
Winterfest was
hosted by the Nationalist Coalition’s Arizona
chapter.
At 4:30 pm, guests arrived at the hall – which
was decorated with Christmas trees, wreaths, poinsettias,
and the flags of many European nations – greeted
by the aroma of the various types of Cornish Pasties,
spiced apples, corn, and homemade pies. After 90 minutes
of sharing camaraderie with like-minded individuals,
the lights turned off, and the festivities began.
The stage lights were then turned on to reveal Margaret
Huffstickler, who opened with the song, "When Icicles
Hang by the Wall", by William Shakespeare.
Local chapter leader Jesse Curnow, serving as Master
of Ceremonies for the evening, then walked to the podium
and welcomed everybody, explaining some of the differences
between this year’s Winterfest and that of last
year, which included more time for musicians, and less
for speakers; and a Wee Folk area, to make the event
open to that all important, yet all too often overlooked,
portion of our population, our children.
Mrs. Huffstickler then came up for her first set, performing
two more Shakespeare songs: "Under the Greenwood
Tree"" and "Blow, blow, thou Winter Wind".
Up next was local Nationalist Dana Arnold, who played
a three song set – one of which was performed
for the first time.
Evan Thomas flew more than 2000 miles to entertain
the audience, and his first set on the Celtic Fiddle
made it a worthwhile trip.
Unfortunately the piano player we had lined up had
to back out at the last minute; in his stead, Mark Valley,
our sound technician, grabbed his guitar, and his sense
of humor, and entertained the audience in more ways
than one.
Next, local chapter member Jessica recited from behind
the podium, “Ride of the Valkyries”, a poem
written by David Lane, who passed away earlier this
year.
To conclude the first part of the program, Evan Thomas
once again dazzled our guests with selections from his
Irish Whistle.
After a short intermission – during which time
small children were brought into the Wee Folk Area –
John De Nugent, our keynote speaker, delivered a speech
for which he received a standing ovation. In addition
to his discussion of the Solutreans – an ice-age
civilization in what is today known as France –
Mr. De Nugent announced that, in 2008, he will be running
for President of the United States, on an openly pro-White
platform.
Dana Arnold came back on stage after another intermission
to recite a poem about an encounter with Thor –
the Norse god of war and thunder – who demanded
that his new acquaintance bow to nobody – not
even a god.
Margaret Huffstickler then came up for her final performance,
this time singing, "Ah, May the Red Rose Live Always!"
by Stephen Foster.
A country music artist then brought up on stage his
guitar, his harmonica, and his musical talent –
combining all three to wow the audience with a 40-minute
set.
To conclude the program, Evan Thomas once again brought
onto the stage his Celtic Fiddle – saving, as
they say, the best for last.
Jesse Curnow once again got behind the podium, thanking
everybody for coming. He also discussed some of the
progress made by the Arizona chapter over the past year,
urging those who were able, but hadn’t yet done
so, to get involved with local activities. He concluded
by saying, “Come what may, we will keep fighting,
and we will keep moving forward, because our Race deserves
it”.

from the Nationalist Coalition, and look for a video
