Personal Security
     by John J. Ubele

Owning a firearm can give you peace of mind and it may even save your life. We live in a mixed-up world and there are many people out there who wish to do us harm.

Every adult White man and woman should have the means for protecting themselves and their families. In some cases, it may be necessary for you to take part in a militia in the event of civil disorder. A perfect example of civil disorder is what happened to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. After the storm, many unarmed Whites became trapped in the city and were preyed upon by black gangs – in some cases they were robbed or raped; in others they were killed.

You should own at least one pistol and one rifle. The following is a list of some of the most common cartridge calibers throughout the world. If you buy a weapon, you should make sure that it fires one of the following cartridges:

Pistol

Rifle

.38 Special

.223 (.556 x 45mm)

.357 Magnum

7.62x39mm

.40 S&W

.308 Winchester

.45 ACP

.30-06 Springfield

9mm

Pistols of the .22, .25, and .32 calibers, don’t have the knockdown power possessed by those listed in the table above, and one should avoid purchasing pistols in these calibers. A .357 revolver can also fire .38 Special cartridges. You should consider this if you do end up purchasing a revolver. When you do acquire a sidearm make sure it’s a semi-automatic pistol. Pistols can be reloaded much more quickly and their magazines hold more rounds than a revolver.

The following is a table of some different types of sidearms, their actions and their cartridge sizes:

A pistol, unlike a rifle, provides portability and can be easily tucked into a waistband or worn in a holster. It is wise during a period of civil disorder to have a firearm available at all times. When trouble comes you will need to respond quickly, and a rifle left in the next room might prove to be useless. You will always have security at hand as long as you keep a pistol in your belt or holster.

Though most people cannot own a fully automatic assault rifle, it is the best weapon for militia use. However, other suitable, comparable weapons are readily available. For example, a semiautomatic rifle in a military caliber is an excellent weapon that can be used in lieu of a fully automatic. Make certain when you purchase your rifle that there are detachable, large-capacity (at least 20 cartridges) magazines for it.

The following is a table of some different types of rifles, their actions and their cartridge sizes:

  Model/ Type Action Caliber
  Mini-14     Semi-automatic   .223 Remington
  AR-15     Semi-automatic   .223 Remington
  M-16     Semi-automatic   .223 Remington

  Mini-30     Semi-automatic   7.62x39mm
  AK-47     Semi-automatic   7.62x39mm
  SKS     Semi-automatic   7.62x39mm

  M-14     Semi-automatic   .308 Winchester
  M-25      Semi-automatic   .308 Winchester
  HK M91     Semi-automatic   .308 Winchester

  M-1 Garand   Semi-automatic   .30-06 Springfield
Remington Model 798 Bolt action   .30-06 Springfield
Winchester Model 70 Series Bolt action   .30-06 Springfield

Bolt action rifles are more accurate than semi-automatic ones, they also tend to have greater range. But for versatility and firepower you’ll want your primary weapon to be a semi-automatic rifle.

You should keep a minimum of 500 cartridges for each weapon that you own, as cartridges can last up to 40 years old and beyond. But you should always be sure to use up older ammunition regularly and replace it with new stock. Try to ensure that the cartridges you do have on hand are less than 10 years old. Also, in order to practice your shooting skills, make it a habit to go target shooting at least once a year and fire off 100 or so cartridges.

Personally, I’ve shot the Ruger Mini-14 and the Mini-30, both of which are fine rifles. I also recommend the SKS and AK47, both of these rifles can be obtained considerably cheaper than the aforementioned Rugers. In some places it is possible to find a used SKS or AK-47 for less than $200. On the other hand, a brand new Ruger rifle will run you at least $500. I would advise strongly against buying military surplus guns. Every gun barrel has a limited life. After a certain number of rounds are fired through a barrel, the barrel's diameter will wear down enough to lose accuracy. Military rifles are put through a high level of abuse. When buying a weapon for defense, buy new or have the barrel replaced. Never use a weapon for defense that you would not be willing to LITERALLY bet your life on.

You should go shooting at least once a year, but try to make it twice. There are plenty of outdoor and indoor ranges available, but keep in mind that you can
shoot greater distances at outdoor ranges. There are some ranges that have 300-yard target shooting but most outdoor ranges only have 100-yard targets. Of course these ranges will also have closer targets for pistol shooting.

Gunfire WILL cause temporary hearing loss and repeated exposure to gunfire will cause permanent, irreversible hearing damage – including possible deafness. Wear good hearing protection at all times possible. In a crisis situation, hearing protection that attenuates loud bangs but allows quiet sound to enter is extremely valuable. While your enemies will be temporarily deaf from their own gunfire, you'll still be able to hear just fine.

It’s a lot more fun to go shooting with friends, and if your friends have different firearms, you will have the opportunity to shoot other types of pistols and rifles. This is a great advantage, as you should try to become proficient at shooting different types of firearms. The true sportsman can even take up hunting as a hobby that will not only test his marksmanship, but also enable him to procure his own food.

There are many people who have an unfounded fear of guns. This is wrong – guns can save lives when in the right hands. A gun in the wrong hands (which is all too often the case) can take a life. But, what is unfortunately often ignored is that a gun can also save a life. There are many liberals out there who want us to believe that guns kill people. Well, they don’t; people kill people. A gun is simply a tool, just like a hammer or a screwdriver. All of these tools can kill people, but all of them, just like a gun, have a more fundamental purpose.

The main reason I wrote this article is that I do not want any more of my people to end up as a statistic. There have been literally tens of thousands of our kind in this country who have fallen victim to violence because they were not armed. Every responsible White man and woman needs to protect their family; and these days, the only well-protected family is a family well-educated about the use of firearms.
