As some of you may know, I’m running for an office
in my county. The office is a seat on the Pasco County
Mosquito Control Board. I decided to run for this seat
with the intention of establishing my political career
and to build a grassroots power base. We will use this
power base to support candidates to run for higher offices
in future elections.
A few weeks ago I did an interview with the St. Petersburg
Times. It’s a newspaper which is widely circulated
throughout the Tampa Bay area. Before I did the interview
I knew it was likely that the Times would discover the
pro-White activism that I’ve been involved in.
I felt it was necessary to do the interview despite
the Times’ discovery. I wanted to have my activism
out in the open well in advance of the election. I preferred
to have the media expose my views sooner rather than
later. Fortunately, the article they did was somewhat
balanced and it could have been much more hostile regarding
my activism.
I have a business which I work at full-time. I also
work a part-time job and it’s possible that I
may lose it over the media’s coverage of my campaign.
Of course I’ve prepared for such a scenario. For
those of you who have listened to my interview Your
Money and Your Life: An interview with John J. Ubele
you know that I live a Spartan lifestyle and that I
follow a budget religiously. It is through this fiscal
discipline that I have been able to maintain a high
level of pro-White activism.
Financial pressure is something that keeps many of
our people from realizing their full potential. The
people who control the media know this very well. They
use their power in the media to influence and pressure
businesses to adopt policies which are favorable to
them. They will also pressure businesses to strike down
any political dissent which the media feels is contrary
to its goals. The media will work especially hard to
strike down Whites who are working for the interests
of our people.
The mass media have abused us like this time and time
again, and we have sat back and let them do it to us.
We have allowed the media to put us in a box - a box
which for too long has prevented us from working for
the interests of our people.
There has been a major lack of foresight and preparation
which has put us in the position that we are in today.
The solution to this problem is self-evident. We need
to work for ourselves and become as financially independent
from the system as we possibly can. Then and only then
can we work to build a successful political movement.
I strongly encourage everyone who has the ability to
start a business to do so. Granted you will have to
make some sacrifices to get the business started, but
they will be small ones considering our people’s
future is at stake.
